The 21st International Taurine Meeting

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee of China, it is a great honor for Shenyang Agricultural University and Dalian Medical University to host the 21st International Taurine Meeting (INTAM21) in the cities of Shenyang(May20−23, 2018) and Dalian (May 24−26, 2018).

China manufactures several taurine-containing products. The nutritional and health effects of taurine have spurred interest in taurine among both the government and the general public. A major aim of 2018 INTAM21 is to advance taurine research and increase awareness of taurine’s benefits.

Shenyang is an attractive inland city with a long history of over 2600 years. It is located inthe middle part of Liaoning Province, connected with Liao Dong peninsula to the south and Chang Bai mountain to the north, at the joint of areas of around Bohai and the Northeast part of China. It is also one of the important old industrial bases of China. Dalian is a coastal city, known for being the “North bright pearl” of China. While the city is endowed with a long coastline, it is also embraced by the mountains.
