International Conference on Harmonic Analysis and Its Applications

This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Min-Teh Cheng. Prof. Cheng had great achievement in the research area of harmonic analysis and information processing. He cultivated a number of outstanding people who are now research leaders all over the world. He was in the leading position of the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Mathematics in Peking University, and the Chinese Mathematical Society for very long period.

He advanced with the times and showed great foresight in the research of mathematics.He helped found the School of Mathematical Sciences in Peking University, the Tianyuan Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China and had made great contributions to the development of mathematics both at Peking University and through out the country. To commemorate the scientific spirit of Prof. Cheng, the School of Mathematical Sciences and Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR) of Peking University have scheduled a memorial celebration for the 100th anniversary of his birth from October 26-28, 2017. Friends and students of Dr. Cheng, researchers and scholars in China or overseas are all welcome to attend.
