2018 Vietnam Footwear Summit

The third Vietnam Footwear Summit will be held in the Reverie Saigon on March 21-22, 2018. The Summit is co-organized by LEFASO (Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association) and ECV International Shanghai Co.

According to Vietnam Ministry of Trade and Industry, Vietnam 2016 footwear exports reached 1.1 billion pairs, the number of exports ranked second in the world, second only to China. Vietnam plays an important role in footwear production and international trade, and has become a major strategic country for many footwear brands.

In addition, the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will help Vietnam footwear industry to easier access to technology and lower input costs. Meanwhile, the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community afford Vietnam an opportunity to cooperate with other countries to develop materials and form new supply chain, which will help to reduce the investment costs, increase productivity and contribute to maintaining market shares in the US, EU and Japan.

The summit is intended to make in-depth analysis of Vietnamese footwear industry. First adopt the global broadcast format, deeply analyze footwear supply chain, Vietnam labor management and advanced manufacturing technology to help the attendees get a better understanding of Vietnam footwear industry development status and find business opportunity.
