The International Conference on Conceptual Modeling has established itself as the premier research conference in conceptual modeling. The 37th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER 2018) provides a leading international forum for disseminating the latest research on conceptual modeling. It brings together academic and industrial scientists who conduct research in theories of concepts underlying conceptual modeling, methods and tools for developing and communicating conceptual models, techniques for transforming conceptual models into effective implementations, and the impact of conceptual modeling techniques on databases, business strategies and information systems development etc.
ER 2018 will be held in Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi province in China. Xi’an is situated in the central part of Weihe Plain, with the Weihe River flowing in the north and the Qinling rising in the south. It is a living history book, which has recorded great changes of the Chinese nation. It was an ancient capital city for 13 dynasties such as Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang. It is the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
