This paper studies the alignment of situation model through studying how to improve coherence between the continuation and the original text in a narrative continuation task.Current studies find that in the narrative continuation task, the continuation is likely to deviate from the original text, so its coherence with the original text is not strong enough. To solve this problem, the paper puts forward the method of coherence between the continuation and the original text in a narrative continuation task by analyzing 15 narrative continuation tasks in Iwrite training system. And then the paper tests the validity of the method through three experiments of narrative continuation tasks, with the use of Coh-Metrix and SPSS to analyze the data. The result shows that in post-test, there is a significant improvement in situation model construction, latent semantic analysis and text readability of principal component compared with pre-test, which demonstrates that coherence between the continuation and the original text is enhanced. This verifies the validity of this method.
