For IAMCR 2018, the central theme is Reimagining Sustainability: Communication and Media Research in a Changing World.
The Media Education Research (MER) section calls for proposals reflecting on the central theme as well on other relevant dimensions of media education research. Some possible themes are:
Intersecting and diverging discourses: media and information literacies, ICT literacies, multiliteracies, transliteraciesComparative perspectives and pedagogiesInnovations in research methodologiesMedia and information literacies for equitable and sustainable global development (MIL4D)We welcome contributions ranging from the empirical and methodological to the theoretical in focus. The Call for Papers is also open to ongoing work in Media Education Research.
Individual papers and panels, as well as suggestions for round table discussions are welcome. We especially encourage proposals for collaborative sessions or panels with other sections, networks in the field, and actors/stakeholders in a society.
