Resolution of Inflammation, Infection and Tissue Regeneration

Chronic, uncontrolled inflammation has been implicated in a wealth of human diseases, but the importance of controlled inflammation in response to pathogens, and the redundancy and complexity of the immune response creates a challenging environment for drug discovery. In recent years, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammation has improved dramatically, most notably the identification of resolution of inflammation as an active process has created a rapidly evolving field of research – Resolution Pharmacology -- that promises novel approaches for the treatment of inflammatory diseases via resolution agonists.This conference will convene pre-eminent researchers at the cutting edge of the field to discuss mechanisms of inflammation, tissue repair, and regeneration, and explore the existing hurdles to clinical approaches
