Introduction

“China PT Forum” is the most influential meeting in the field of proficiency testing (PT) in China. It has been successfully held for five times so far and has received wide acclaim andactive participation. To promote communication among experts, scholars, andcompanies, strengthen international communication and cooperation, and enhancetechnological innovation capabilities in related fields of PT, "The 6thChina Proficiency Testing Forum (6th PT)" will be held inBeijing on October 16-18, 2018, which is organized by the China NationalAccreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and undertaken by ChinaUnion of Proficiency Testing (CUPT).

In addition, two important forums willbe held during the same period, one is“International Forum on Materials &Testing” organized by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), another is“ICASI’ 2018 & CCATM’ 2018 International Conference & Exhibition onANALYSIS & TESTING of METALLURGICAL PROCESS & MATERIALS” co-organizedby International Community of Analysis for Steel & Iron Industry(ICASI),Central Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI) & Analysis andTesting Branch of Chinese Society of Metals (CSM).

Focus on the theme of “Innovation& Standardization of materials and testing technology helps improve thequality”, the Joint Conference on Oct 16th will discuss on thelatest development of materials research, testing technique, performanceassessment and standardization. The organizing committee will invite more thanten academicians of CAE and well-known experts from the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO), the International Accreditation Forum(IAF), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), and theAsia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) to attend the forumand give special reports.And they willintroduce the current development on the key field of laboratories and PT,discuss the new technologies and trends of PT under the guidance of thesustainable development strategy, and provide technology and managementpersonnel in the field of PT and laboratory accreditation with an interactiveplatform for publishing academic ideas, communicating research results andmanagement experience.

It sincerely welcomes contributions from all related industries and fields.

Call for paper
The scope covers the research on PT techniques and laboratory quality control, including (but not limited to):
1. Comprehension and research onpolicies of PT;
2. Comprehension of newstandards for laboratory accreditation and research on key technologies of quality;
3. Research on accreditation technology for proficiencytesting provider (PTP);
4. Research on key technologies ofqualitative and quantitative PT in different fields;
5. Research on statistical techniques of assessmentfor different types of PT;
6. Research on key technologies for PT in thefield of calibration;
7. Research on the standardization of PTtechnology;
8. The research and application of PTsamples, quality control samples and reference materials/ samples (samplehomogeneity, stability and traceability);
9. Theapplication of PT results in quality control, method validation, intermediatecheck and verification of personnel capacity;
10. Research on accreditation of scientificresearch laboratory and key technologies for PT of small sample;
11. Laboratory quality control and managementof PT information.
