Introduction
The 2nd International Symposium on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (i-SAMN), formerly known as Workshop on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (WAMN), will take place near Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur in August 2018. This event has been initiated by the Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for the past 15 years.
This two-days symposium will be organized by the Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA), in collaboration with the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The SAMN event covers a wide range of topics from basic principles to new emerging applications in advanced materials and nanotechnologies. A pool of research experts in nanomaterials and nanotechnology are anticipated to join in the 2018 event. The keynote and plenary speakers as well as the symposium program will be announced nearer the time.

Selected papers will be published in “SAMN2018 Special Issue” in the International Journal of Nanotechnology Inderscience Publishers and Asian Journal of Nanoscience and Materials.
