3rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON REBUILDING PLACE 2018 (ICRP 2018)

ICRP is international conference for all over the world to discuss towards safe cities and resilience communities. Accepted papers shall be publish in the proceedings of 3rd ICRP2018. Selected papers shall be published in the double-blind peer reviewed Malaysian Journal of Sustainable Environment (MySE) and selected papers shall be publish in chapter in book with topic "Safe Cities & Resilient Communities". The conference’s International Scientific Committee members are also Editorial Board members in the MySE journals.

Urbanization has mainly concentrated on the development of economic activities which have lead to boosting the growth of the economic. However, the process has also promoted inequality, social disruption, environmental damage as well as has direct impact on the criminal behaviour that affects the quality of human life. Thus, the strength of community spirit and environmental development, as well as organizations, need to be balanced to maintain the sustainability of the quality of urban life. Therefore, urban development should incorporate and approach towards building safe cities by building the resilience of systems. Enhancing urban resilience should follow a people-centred and multi-faceted approach, to integrate and highlight the physical, social, economic, governance and community characteristics. An integrated approach for planning long-term socio-technical system, built-nature must be applied to ensure the success of sustainable cities.
