Guanghua International Symposium on Finance (GISF2018)

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Guanghua School of Management at the Peking University and the Journal of Empirical Finance (JEF) will hold the Guanghua International Symposium on Finance on the Peking University campus in Beijing on December 21-23, 2018. The conference aims to bring together top researchers and practitioners to foster a dialogue on important issues in finance.

There will be a Doctoral Student Consortium held on December 21, where the presenting author of a paper has to be a PhD student. Presentations of regular research papers and panel discussionswill be held on December 22. There would be some social activities on December 23.

TOPICS

We welcome submissions of high-quality research papers on all topics related to finance, especially topics on Fintech and/or Chinese financial markets.

DUAL SUBMISSTION TO THE JOURNAL OF EMPIRICAL FINANCE UNDER FAST TRACK

The Guanghua International Symposium on Finance and the JEF offer a dual submission process at the invitation of the JEF editors. Authors must indicate on the conference submission website whether they are interested in having their papers considered under this duel submission process. Dual submission papers will be made available for consideration by the JEF editors. At the discretion of the editors, due submission papers will be sent out for a formal review, in which case the authors will receive copies of the referee reports. If selected, authors have until one month after the conference to submit their papers to the JEF, regardless whether their papers are accepted for presentation at the conference.

The JEF aims for a fast turnover time for papers entering into the dual submission process: a maximum of two months for the first-round review, and a final decision (acceptance, conditional acceptance, or rejection) after two rounds.
