2018 International Conference on Wind Energy and Applications in Algeria (ICWEAA)

Wind energy is one of the most competitive renewable energies. As a result, global installed capacity is constantly evolving and reached more than 510 GW in June 2017. In Algeria, at the present time, there is only one wind farm with 10 MW of installed capacity. However, in the Renewable Energy program adopted by the Algerian government, the overall wind power target is to install 5 GW by 2030. The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers, engineers and industrialists to establish the state-of-art of research in the field of wind energy as well as the challenges and opportunities for the implementation of this program.
