Introduction

The principal theme of International Conference on Information and Automation for Sustainability (ICIAfS) is the Sustainable development through effective man-machine coexistence. The 9th ICIAfS is a global forum for sharing new developments in the general areas of automation and sustainability.

We are pleased to invite the industry, researchers and academia to submit your papers to ICIAfS2018. All submissions will be reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, importance and clarity. The conference will feature keynote speeches, technical presentations, workshops and special sessions, and furthermore, you can enjoy beautiful Sri Lanka.

The conference encourages technological advancements in optimal autonomous systems for agriculture, disaster response, power and energy, and manufacturing.

Technical Papers
Perspective authors are invited to contribute to ICIAfS 2018. All papers are to be submitted using www.edas.info.  Papers are invited in all areas of automation and connectivity for sustainability with focus on the following topics:

Robotics, Automation and Control for efficiency improvement: Authors are encouraged to contribute papers that introduce novel designs and algorithms that minimize energy consumption, improve resource management, consider effective man-machine co-existence.

Sustainable Power and Energy Systems: Authors are encouraged to contribute papers that introduce novel methods to exploit sustainable alternative energy sources, new designs for rural electrification, advances in smart grids, advances in battery technology,and novel methods to improve reliability and resiliency with grid connected renewable energy suppliers.

Disaster Management, Welfare, and Rehabilitation: Advances in sensing the earth, oceans, and atmosphere, information processing, interpretation, and dissemination,

environmental systems and risk analysis, Environmental management.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Cyber-Physical Systems to connect rural masses with critical services and opportunities, advances in tele-presence.
