At present, China’s helicopter industry has established a relatively complete R&D, production, supporting, materials, formed the product pattern of “multi - type of an aorcraft, series development”. Helicopter market has become the fastest growing segment of the domestic aviation sector, with an average growth rate of 25% over the past five years, from 300 to nearly 1,200, nearly quadrupling, and the market share rising from a fifth to a quarter. At present, the market volume of China’s civil helicopters is about 1,100, with a compound annual growth rate of nearly 20% over the past 10 years, growth is obvious. The figure is expected to climb to 4,000 in the next 10 years.

For a country with such a vast territory, a large population and a complicated geographical and natural environment, China’s helicopters play an irreplaceable role in emergency rescue, aviation fire protection, medical services, industrial and agricultural operations, financial leasing and other civilian fields and have a wide range of applicatons. Domestic aviation emergency rescue system construstion, industrial structure upgrade and so on the actual demand and potential demand for helicopters are great. In addition, various domestic policies are making efforts to promote the development of aviation, cooperate with the reform of low-altitude airspace management, support the emerging aviation consumption demand, and accelerate the realization of the leap from “Hot up” to “Flying up”.
