Satellite Internet is designated as one of the "new infrastructure" information infrastructures by the National Development and Reform Commission. As an important application scenario of satellite communications, aviation Internet in the civil aviation field has broad development prospects. Countries around the world have carried out long-term and extensive explorations on the aviation Internet. The United States and Europe, which have developed more mature civil aviation industries, have successively introduced technical solutions such as ATG, Ku, and Ka. In the past 10 years of development, they have formed a broad market space and profound User base. With the continuous improvement of the development level of my country's civil aviation industry and the gradual liberalization of relevant regulatory policies, my country's aviation Internet is about to usher in major development and accelerate the formation of large-scale value clusters in upstream and downstream industries.
In recent years, aviation airborne communication has gradually transitioned from ATG to Ku/Ka high-throughput. The ever-increasing network bandwidth and service capabilities have fully met the increasingly abundant in-flight needs of users and brought users a more convenient and rich in-flight Internet experience. At the same time, the emerging application scenarios of aircraft front and rear cabin communications strongly support the needs of passenger use and flight operation control management and have derived many upstream and downstream needs such as content production and distribution, equipment manufacturing and maintenance, and intelligent services. The traction effect is very obvious. The international aviation Internet market is gradually becoming saturated, and the domestic market has great potential for development. The continuous growth of my country's civil aviation fleet and the huge demand for airborne networks are expected to drive the Asia-Pacific region to become the world's largest aviation Internet market.
