Exploration and Practice of Course－based Ideological and Political Education in College English Teaching in Sports Colleges and Universities

Course－based ideological and political education is a new measure, a new reform and a new direction of the Party's talent cultivation and ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era. It is a comprehensive educational concept that regards "building a moral education and cultivating people" as the basic task of education, and it is a systematic project. College English, as a required public course, has a wide audience and a long course time, which has incomparable advantages over other courses. Therefore, how to combine ideological and political education with English language teaching is a new problem facing college English teaching at present. Based on the concept of "course－based ideological and political education", this paper analyzes the characteristics of college English teaching in sports colleges and universities, and explores the implementation path of course－based ideological and political education in sports colleges and universities from the aspects of perfecting and implementing the content system of course－based ideological and political education, innovating teaching methods and teaching contents, and improving the teaching level and educational ability of college English teachers.
