2022 IEEE Electric Vehicles International Symposium (EVIS)

The organizing committee of the 2022 IEEE Electric Vehicles International Symposium (IEEE EVIS-2022) is very happy to welcome you in Morelia, Mexico. We are confident that the situation will improve regarding the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the IEEE EVIS-2022 will be held in the form of a conference with as many authors and participants as possible attending the conference in Morelia in person and others attending remotely.

The IEEE EVIS-2022 is the flagship and premier conference venue in Mexico for sharing and discussing new research results and ideas in the electric mobility field. The IEEE EVIS-2022 is a biennial event held in Morelia, Mexico since 2016, bringing together researchers, academics and industry professionals from all over the world. The Fifth IEEE EVIS-2022 will be organized by the Vehicular Technology Chapter of the IEEE Centro Occidente Section. More than 700 scholars will participate in the two-day meeting. In addition, several international electric vehicles manufacturers have scheduled their participation in partnership with IEEE EVIS-2022.

Morelia happens to be a very special city for visitors who want to do scientific and networking outreach in a welcoming, historic and culturally vibrant context. Built in the 16th century, the historic centre of Morelia is preserved intact and received the inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991. Morelia occupies an important place in the history of art and culture in Mexico. The “Conservatorio de Música de las Rosas” of Morelia was the first music conservatory in the Americas, while the “Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo” (UMSNH) is a public university in Morelia founded in 1540 and the oldest institution of higher education in the Americas. A number of figures associated with the Mexican history, such as Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, José Maria Morelos and Melchor Ocampo were associated with this school.
