Introduction

The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field of computing. The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference is an annual one-day technical conference based at Stanford, which brings together data scientists and professionals from around the globe to discuss the latest research and applications of data science in a broad set of domains. We will invite submission in all aspects of data science ranging from theoretical foundations to novel models and algorithms. Our focus is on challenges and applications of all fields: healthcare, medicine, mathematics, computational biology, social science, economics, computer science, digital humanities, etc in the fields of data science.
