5th International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Bed Boom (CFBB05)

   Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) technology is booming in the context of the energy transition toward carbon neutrality. The goal of the International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Bed Boom (CFBB) is to offer a non-profit platform for all parties to exchange ideas, information, and experiences about CFB technology to fulfill the demand for communication, cooperation, and collaboration between academia and industry.

   In the context of the increasing circulating fluidized bed boiler capacity as well as the demand for communication, cooperation, and collaboration, Tsinghua University, Pusan National University initiated the International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler(CFBB) on the purpose of offering a non-profit platform for all parties to exchange ideas, information, and experiences. CFBB01, CFBB02, CFBB03, and CFBB04 were successfully held in Donghae, Korea, Qingdao, China, Busan Korea, and Chongqing, China, respectively.

   This year (2023), CFBB05 will be held in Kunming, China in 26-29, July, and in the context of the coexistence of challenges and opportunities in energy transition toward carbon neutrality, starting from CFBB05, the conference name is changed from “Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler” to “Circulating Fluidized Bed Boom”. This change is intended to expand the scope of the conference into a holistic range of CFB-related technologies to serve academic-industrial communication, cooperation, and collaboration better. CFBB05 focuses on CFB-related technologies and hot topics in energy industry to provide participants with an efficient and comprehensive communication platform.
