Agro-Geoinformatics 2024

The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics is organized and hosted by the International Society of Agromatics and BioSense Insitute with technical and financial sponsorships from IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, Food and Agriculture Organization, Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), Agricultural and Environmental Informatics Application and Research Center (TARBİL), and Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University.

Agro-geoinformation is critical for the agricultural sustainability, food security, environmental research, bioenergy, natural resource conservation, land use management, carbon accounting, global climate change, health research, agricultural industry, commodity trading, economy research, education, agricultural decision-making and policy formulation, etc. The Agro-Geoinformatics conferences were successfully held in Shanghai, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2012), Washington DC, USA(Agro-Geoinformatics 2013), Beijing, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2014), Istanbul Turkey (Agro-Geoinformatics 2015), Tianjin, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2016), Washington DC, USA (Agro-Geoinformatics 2017), Hangzhou, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2018), Istanbul, Turkey (Agro-Geoinformatics 2019), Virtual, (Agro-Geoinformatics 2021), Quebec City, Canada (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022), and Wuhan, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2023). The Agro-Geoinformatics conferences have provided and will continue to provide an ideal venue for professionals and students to exchange their ideas, research results, professional experiences, the latest developments and future vision of agro-geoinformatics. The Agro-Geoinformatics 2024 conference will continue covering the recent advances in the life cycle of Agro-geoinformatics, from data collection (including field surveys and remote sensing), processing, storing, archiving, preservation, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualization, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, disseminating to decision making.

Selected papers will be published in the conference special issue (International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation).

Abstract submission, review process and publication

All abstracts must be 400-500 words long and written in English. The submission format for full paper shall follow the IEEE template. All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed to maintain high quality presentations. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Only papers, presented at the conference by one of the listed authors and duly registered for the conference, will be retained in the conference proceedings.
Abstracts must include title and authors (first name surname), and indicate the presenter by underlining the name and providing that author’s contact details: affiliations, department, full address (street, city, state/province, and country), telephone, fax, and Email. Selected keywords are also required to be included in submitted abstract. This would be beneficial for your papers to be assigned to proper conference sessions. The accepted papers presented at the conference by the duly registered author will be included in the conference proceedings. Conference proceedings will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore (indexed by EI). Selected papers will be published in the conference special issue (International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation).

The conference invites participants to submit proposals for special sessions. The template for special session proposals can be downloaded HERE. Kindly send your proposal to We will promptly follow up with you regarding the progress of your submission.
