Introduction
You are warmly invited to the 64th Annual ISE Meeting that will be held in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico from 8 to 13 September, 2013. Santiago de Querétaro is an exceptional example of a colonial town whose layout symbolizes its multi-ethnic population. The historic downtown was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. The city is also considered one of the cradles of Mexican independence, as the current constitution of Mexico was drafted there in 1917. Today, Santiago de Querétaro is one of the fastest growing cities in Mexico. Due to its privileged position in the center of the country (222 km north from Mexico City) and its modern infrastructure and connectivity, many cutting-edge, strategic industries have settled to develop in the sectors such as aeronautic, information technologies, life sciences, automobile and food and beverage. Surrounded by natural and cultural richness, Santiago de Querétaro is one of the most attractive destinations in Mexico.
