Introduction

Cloud Networking has emerged as a promising direction for cost-efficient and reliable service delivery. The dynamic location of service facilities, the virtualization of hardware and software elements, and access to granular resources facilitate low latency, high throughput, and failure resiliency. However, the large amounts of data and different application requirements continue to stress the underlying communication network and protocols. Emerging technologies like Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Network (SDN), and Information Centric Networking (ICN) can play significant roles in aligning the network with the requirements of clouds. These technologies can also improve the programmability of cloud networks and the agility of deployment and management. The 14th IEEE International Conference on Cloud Networking (IEEE CloudNet 2026), part of the IEEE Cloud Computing Initiative, can significantly promote research in cloud networks and emerging research areas.
