Introduction

With the rapid advance of Internet, artificial intelligence and other technologies, the trend of globalization is strengthening, information is growing explosively, and cultural, economic and political diversity is becoming increasingly prominent. Consequently, we are now coming to a constantly changing world, facing complex uncertainties and unpredictable challenges. Language is a mirror of social culture and a special carrier for recording social changes. Moreover, language not only witnesses the evolution of the times, but linguistics also continuously enhances its theoretical and practical value in keeping up with the times.

To further promote the development of sociolinguistics and facilitate exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign scholars, the Sociolinguistics Division of the Chinese Language Society (SDCLS) will hold the 15th International Conference on Chinese Sociolinguistics in September, 2025. This conference will invite many well-known experts from home and abroad to build an interdisciplinary and international academic platform, helping scholars from all walks of life to collide ideas and expand their horizons. The specific arrangement of the conference is as follows. We sincerely welcome scholars from all over the world to participate and join the academic event together!

Date: September 27-30, 2025 (check-in on September 27, meeting on September 28-29, leaving on September 30)
Location: Chang'an Campus of Shaanxi Normal University (No. 620 West Chang'an Avenue, Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province)

3 Conference Language
Mandarin Chinese and English; Translation services provided for conference reports.

4 Meeting Format
Keynote speeches, thematic forums, academic posters, editors in chief face to face. Representatives of some academic journals will be invited to attend the meeting. All attendees and speakers will receive proof of attendance provided by the conference.

5 Meeting Expenses
Chinese nationality attendees: 900 RMB/person for employed personnel; 500 RMB/person for current students.
Travel expenses are self-funded, and the conference team will provide a guide to nearby accommodations.

Please submit your email to the conference team before May 1, 2025sociolinguistics25@163.com.Please submit the attendance registration form (see attachment) and keep the word count of your speech summary within 600 (Chinese) and 800 (English) respectively (excluding references). Email subject format: "Name+School/College+Teacher" or "Name+School/College+Graduate Student".
The conference team will organize experts to review the abstract and inform whether it has been accepted and selected before July 1, 2025.
