Introduction

The 1st conference which took place in 1976 in Liverpool broke new ground in tackling network protection issues and topics through a new approach, while at the same time maintaining the scientific and engineering research character. The 12th ICEFA conference will be the 50th anniversary of the ICEFA. It will be a monumental and successful academic event.
