First IATIS Regional Workshop

The first Regional Workshop of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS) will be hosted by the English Department of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University (UNNES), Indonesia, from 25th to 27th of March 2013. The objective of the workshop is to ensure closer ties among scholars in translation and intercultural studies working within the Asia-Pacific and neighboring regions. The workshop is also open to scholars who may be able to attend from other parts of the world. As a relatively small-scale and focused event that can serve as a platform for longer term collaboration within the region, it offers and encourages academic networking and exchange.
