Introduction
The 16th National Symposium on Virology will be held in Changchun, Jilin Province, from August 15–17, 2025. The symposium is jointly organized by the Virology Branch of the Chinese Society for Microbiology and the First Hospital of Jilin University, with co-sponsorship from the Virology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the Academy of Military Medical Sciences.
Topics include: virus–host interactions; viral pathogenesis and immunity; diagnostics, vaccines, and antiviral drugs; etiology, epidemiology, viral genetic diversity and evolution. The meeting features plenary talks, parallel session presentations, a Young Scientists Forum, and poster sessions. Invited speakers and selected contributors—including internationally and domestically renowned experts and outstanding young scientists—will deliver keynote lectures, invited talks, or poster presentations. A special commemorative lecture honoring pioneers in virology will also be held.

Submission: Online registration platform opens on April 10, 2025. Submissions received before June 10, 2025 will be prioritized for oral presentation. Final submission deadline is July 10, 2025.
Presentation formats: Select via system: (1) Invited speaker; (2) General oral presentation; (3) Oral presentation for students/postdocs; (4) Poster presentation; (5) General paper.
