Over the last twenty years, SMST conferences have focused on the research and development of applications of shape memory and superelastic technologies, significantly contributing to the success of superelastic NiTi shape memory alloys in medical devices.
This year's conference will follow the traditional focus on practical engineering aspects of shape memory materials, particularly on applications of NiTi technologies. However, presentations dealing with practical applications of other shape memory materials are also welcome, including such emerging SMA technologies as high temperature shape memory alloy actuators for aerospace and automotive applications and polymeric shape memory materials for medical devices and space applications.
