75th International Atlantic Economic Conference

Historic Vienna will host the International Atlantic Economic Conference for a fifth time in April 2013. The conference will be held at the University of Vienna, the oldest German-speaking university in the world. Speakers for the conference include: Ewald Nowotny, Austrian National Bank; Dr. Reinhard Neck, Klagenfurt University; and Andreas Schieder, Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance. This conference is a special occasion, as it will mark the 40th anniversary of the International Atlantic Economic Society! Vienna is an economic link between Western, Central, and Eastern European countries. However, Vienna is most known for its cultural history and attractions. The classical style of music originated and flourished among composers living in Vienna like Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, and others, earning the city its title as “Capital of Classical Music.” Famous for its seamless blend of baroque architectural history and art nouveau, Vienna is home to several impressive palaces, over 100 art museums, and numerous other historic and contemporary cultural attractions.
