The 2nd Frontiers in Plant Biotechnology Conference, organized by the internationally renowned journal Plant Biotechnology Journal, will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, from August 13–17, 2026. Building upon the success of the inaugural conference, this event aims to advance academic exchange and industry-academia collaboration in plant biotechnology in China. The conference will focus on cutting-edge topics and key technologies in the field, bringing together leading experts, young scholars, and industry representatives from both domestic and international institutions. Through high-level plenary talks, thematic sessions, and interactive exhibitions, it will showcase the latest advances in genome editing, artificial intelligence & synthetic biology, multi-omics technologies, and intelligent breeding — fostering interdisciplinary integration and technological innovation. Leveraging Kunming’s unique geographical location and rich biodiversity resources, the conference emphasizes a full-chain synergy model spanning basic research, technological breakthroughs, and industrial application, striving to build a high-level platform for academic exchange and industry-university-research collaboration, accelerating the translation of scientific outcomes into practical applications, and supporting the high-quality development of modern agriculture and biotechnology industries in China.
