2013 XV International Conference on Electrical Bio-Impedance, XIV Electrical Impedance Tomography (I

On behalf of the Institute for Bioprocessing and Analytical Measurement Techniques (iba), it is a pleasure for us to invite you to the XV. International Conference on Electrical Bio-Impedance (ICEBI). It will be held together with the XIV. Conference on Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) in Heilbad Heiligenstadt. The conference takes place on April 22–25, 2013 with a pre-conference tutorial on Bio-Impedance on April 21th. The conference venue is located in a medieval town in the middle of Germany nearby Göttingen with its well-recognized University. It is a lovely region which brought out and hosted a whole series of famous persons. Some castles in the vicinity and three Gothic churches inside the town create a nice framework for an interesting conference. We are happy to announce two keynote lectures given by outstanding scientists. Prof. Kremer is well recognized for his contribution to broad bandwidth impedance spectroscopy while Prof. Benndorf works on molecular control of proteins, especially the switching behavior of ionic channels. We welcome contributions with respect to theory, experiment, practice and instrumentation of bio-impedance and electrical impedance tomography or in general passive electrical behavior of cells and tissue. For more than twenty years iba continues the research tradition in Heiligenstadt on technical systems for life sciences. Especially the interfaces between technical and biological systems are in the focus of our exploration. With our long lasting experience in bio-impedance measurement and with our experience in organizing conferences it was consistent to apply to host the XV. ICEBI and the XIV. EIT.
