On be half of the organizing committee of powereng2013 conference, I would like to send my special thanks to all who have done their valuable contributions to powereng2013 by uploading papers, opening special sessions and tutorials, distributing CFP, organizing workshops and reviewing papers.
There are 721 papers uploaded to powereng2013 conference by 1895 authors from 63 different countries. We completed their reviewing on Saturday, January 17, 2013 and sent the Notification Letters to authors on the same day. There were 303 reviewers to review papers from around 100 different countries. Every paper was reviewed at least by three reviewers. According to the reviewers’ comments, accepting rate is 77.00% and rejecting rate is 23.00%.
It would be our great pleasure to host you in Istanbul during the conference. You will find many different activities such as 102 general sessions, 3 poster sessions, 10 special sessions, 4 invited sessions, 4 workshops, 9 tutorials, industrial presentations, 8 keynote speeches as well as a special meeting about possible collaborations of World Universities for possible common projects such as Opening Common Graduate studies Programs in engineering fields and Staff and Student Exchanges. Therefore you will be able to meet most of the Presidents, Rectors and Deans of different Schools, Heads of departments of universities around the world. This collaboration will be announced later in the website as a workshop. In addition to these activities, you will have a chance to attend very important social, technical, cultural and touristic tours in Istanbul. Most importantly, you will have a Gala Dinner on a boat in the Bosphorus for three hours, which will give you a chance to see the astonishing beauty of Istanbul during day time and at night.
