Introduction
We welcome you to Pasadena, California, for the 25th North American Particle Accelerator Conference. Held from September 30 through October 4 at the Pasadena Convention Center, NA-PAC'13 will bring together scientists, engineers, students, and industrial exhibitors, representing all aspects of accelerators and particle beams, for an information-sharing experience focused on technology. The local organizers for NA-PAC'13 are Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and the University of California, Los Angeles. The conference is jointly sponsored by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society and the APS Division of Physics of Beams. The Scientific Program Committee is presently developing a comprehensive and stimulating program. PAC has long been one of the premier general conference series in the accelerator field, thanks to not only the committees' guidance but also the cumulative effort of the participants. Abstract submittal is open. See the "Call for Abstracts" tab. If you represent a vendor of product or services, or an institution with an interest in accelerators, this is also the time to consider how the industrial-exhibit, sponsorship, and advertising opportunities at NA-PAC'13 can help you reach a prime audience. See the "Industrial Exhibits" tab. We hope that the results will keep you in the meeting rooms and exhibit hall... most of the time! Pasadena has a great deal to offer, especially in arts and culture; and within day-trip or evening-out range are all the world-famous attractions of greater Los Angeles, from Hollywood to the theme parks. The local organizers are developing a social program that we hope will match the intellectual rewards of the conference, and will offer some suggestions on what you might wish to explore on your own. Please bookmark this page and revisit it from time to time as the key dates of the conference draw closer. We look forward to your joining us in Pasadena for an enjoyable and rewarding week of exploring how accelerator technology and science can be pushed forward in every way.
