Simulation And Small Signal Studies Power Losse Of Sscb Using Igbts Switching
Abstract Accepted
This paper proposes a simulation studies and
power losse of solid state circuit breaker (SSCB) for the low voltage level by
using IGBTs Switching. According to the conventional circuit breaker, the SSCB
was developed by using the power electronics switching devices. The rapid
operation and no arcing are proposed on the protection devices that can operate
under malfunction. The SSCB based on IGBT switching device can be modeled on
small signal averaging model format for searching the turn-on and turn off
performance. The gate drive signal of IGBT is generated by using malfunction
detection technique. The voltage and current sources of proposed system can be
properly controlled under the proposed condition. The operation of SSCB can be
simulated. The simulated results found that SSCB can be operated under several
testing condition and voltage and current signal can be express as reality
behavior at turn-on and turn-off condition according to internal parasitic
parameter of IGBTs and loads. Therefore, SSCB can be normally used for
controlling the voltage and current instead of a circuit in the system.
