Introduction
On the occasion of the retirement of Professor Kenichi Kanatani from Okayama University, the workshop on Geometric Computation for Computer Vision will be held in conjunction with the 6th Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT 2013) in Guanajuato, Mexico, on October 29th, 2013. To honor his contributions to the scientific community, this event will focus on inferring the parameters of geometric structures within images or scenes which is one of the key aspects in computer vision. The topics particularly addressed by this workshop include general optimization of such problems and accurate parameter estimation in the presence of noisy data. The workshop intends to bring together researchers from these fields, encourage new ideas, discussions and theoretical or practical contributions.
