22nd IAHR International Symposium on Ice

You are cordially invited to the 22nd IAHR International Symposium on Ice, which will be held from 11 – 15 August 2014 in Singapore. The 22nd IAHR International Symposium on Ice is sponsored by the International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR). The long running successful event had been held previously in international cities around the world. In 2014, it will be the first time that IAHR Symposium on Ice is held in Singapore, a top international convention city ideally located midway between the Arctic and Antarctic. In Singapore, there are interests related to ice research and its link to the long term sea level rise, potential development of new shipping routes due to the melting Arctic, design of offshore structures in cold regions, and the impact of climate change on all water resource issues. The aim of the Symposium is the development of international collaboration, exchange of experience between scientists of different countries in research of ice processes, and determination of the most significant tasks for investigations.
