Freeform Optics

New technologies for applying and manufacturing freeform optical surfaces, which take virtually any shape without requiring symmetry, are rapidly emerging to enable optical systems that could not be contemplated using traditional technologies. The ability to design, fabricate, measure, and align freeform surfaces is enabling significant optics industry advances, with no end in sight. New product solutions, instrumentation and devices are being enabled with freeform optics technology.
