The IABSE Conference ‘Elegance in Structures’

The IABSE Conference ‘Elegance in Structures’ will be held from May 13 -15, 2015 in Nara, Japan. We believe that the one of the most important features of the various things and systems nurtured in Japan are their delicate consideration and fine finishing. The theme of the conference ‘Elegance in Structures’, is based on this idea. Elegance in structures does not only deal with the physical forms of structures, but more widely include elegant structural solutions to earthquakes and typhoons, elegant modeling of structures and elegant analytical procedures. We hope to welcome many guests from around the world to Nara and have a fruitful discussion.
