SPE Petroleum Data-Driven Analytics: Decision Making and Value Delivery

With recent advances in E&P technology, the industry has grown more reliant on using large, complex, and high-dimensional datasets. Using these data sets, intricate models and simulations describe the physical systems and propose sound recovery plans. Spectacular progress in digital and information technologies has led to more robust and effective solutions for production operations. Real-time monitoring devices are becoming the norm, providing large volumes of data. Petroleum Data-Driven Analytics (Data Analytics) can help engineers and geoscientist to better understand a larger share of the available data and models, to minimize computational footprint and to maximize information extraction. This workshop presents a robust agenda demonstrating cross-discipline applications of Data Analytics supporting common upstream issues. It brings together a multi-disciplinary group of experts to discuss data analytics methods and practices, with an emphasis on opportunities and applications in the following areas: Drilling Engineering Production Technology Reservoir Characterization, incl. Geoscience and Petrophysics Reservoir Management Integrity, Reliability and Flow Assurance
