International Workshop on Smart Media and Augmented Reality Technologies and Applications (SATA2014) will be held in conjunction with ICISA 2014, May 6, 2014, Seoul, Korea. Aim and Scope Due to the rapid and amazing development of information technology, many useful contents have been distributing as digital data in the Internet. Thus, digital contents including graphic media and smart media have become increasingly important both in industry and in our life; they are being used in entertainment, education, arts and various cultural areas. In the recent years, creative digital content technologies with smart media, mixed and augmented reality, and cultures lead to new era. Reflecting this trend, these areas are nowadays considered as a serious academic domain, and the numbers of researches studying these topics are rapidly increasing. SATA 2014 workshop is an excellent opportunity to discuss and explore those areas related to the creative digital contents with fellow students, researchers and practitioners from academia and industry working in the areas of creative content technology and its applications. Papers presenting original researches and applications are being sought in these areas and convergence technology.
