The First Workshop on OpenFlow and Software Defined Networking: Experimentation and Deployment, WOSDN’2014, will be organised in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain, co-located with 5th International Conference on SmArt COmmunications in NEtwork Technologies (SaCoNeT'2014). The workshop is endorsed by the Technical Committee on SaCoNeT 2014 and by the FP7 CityFlow research project.
OpenFlow and Software Defined Networking have become one of the main trends amongst the Information and Communications Technologies with many industry representatives embracing the concept. Also, standardization work, mainly originating from the Open Network Foundation, has been performed within several working groups. Hence, the workshop on Large-scale OpenFlow and Software Defined Networking aims at showing solutions that succeed on emulating a manageable and cost-effective architecture tailored to the current market demand for high-bandwidth applications.
This workshop, sponsored by the FP7 CityFlow Project, will provide a forum in which these issues and opportunities will be discussed amongst researchers, industry stakeholders and the general community, leading to a better understanding of current state-of-the-art research approaches and future challenges.
The workshop accepts only novel, previously unpublished papers. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a 6-page standard IEEE conference style paper to this workshop (including all text, figures, and references) through EDAS submission system.
