Introduction

The Australasian University Power Engineering Conference (AUPEC) will be held on the 28th of September to the 1st of October at Curtin University, Perth, WA, Australia. This conference is co-sponsored by the Centre of Smart Grid and Sustainable Power Systems, Australasian Committee for Power Engineering (ACPE), the Australian Power Institute (API), ABB (Platinum sponsor), Curtin University, School of Engineering at Edith Cowan University (Gold sponsor), Murdoch University (Gold sponsor), University of Western Australia and IEEE Western Australia Section. The conference organizing committee takes great pleasure to cordially invite researchers and practitioners worldwide to submit papers for review and possible presentation.
