4th Asian Conference on Environmental Mutagens

With immense pleasure, we invite you all to attend the 4th Asian Conference on Environmental Mutagens to be held at CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata from December 10-12, 2014, in collaboration with All India Congress of Cytology and Genetics (AICCG).I would like to thank the members for selecting me as the president of the 5th Asian Association of Environmental Mutagens Societies (AAEMS) for the term 2014- 2015. It is a great opportunity for me to serve you and the AAEMS constitution. I will try my best to bring forth the scientific concerns of environmental health and facilitate collaborative research to counter the entire gamut of environmental problems of Asian countries through the upcoming 4th ACEM. A congregation of forty-nine countries, Asia is considered the largest continent fostering a unique concoction of different cultures, customs and economy. From developing nations to the developed, we face some of the most intense environmental problems including arsenic in ground water affecting more than 100 million Asians, primarily in the regions of India, Bangladesh and Taiwan. I would like to thank all the members of the international community to provide me the opportunity and would like to welcome all of you to the 4th ACEM at IICB, Kolkata, India.
