ICCE Conference on Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL)

In response to emerging research diversity, ICCE2014 will be a meta-conference, comprising of seven co-located theme-based conferences. This is the Call for Papers for the theme-based conference, C6: Technology Enhanced Language Learning. All the accepted papers will be published in proceedings which will be indexed by Elsevier Bibliographic Databases (e.g., Scopus, Engineering Village and others). Authors of accepted distinguished full papers will be invited to submit extended versions of the papers for consideration of publication Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning (RPTEL), the official academic journal of the Asia Pacific Society for Computers in Education. The sub-conference on Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) welcomes contributions that concern rationale, theories, pedagogies, and best practices for the use of computer for second/foreign language teaching and learning. This sub-conference aims to share novel theories and innovative practices for modern technology-mediated pedagogies in second/foreign language learning settings, and will be strongly encouraged and anticipated. The goals are to stimulate discussion among TELL scholars/practitioners about the advantage and issues of current research and practices in the use of technology in language education, and to provide insights into the design, development, and evaluation of second/foreign language learning environment using technology for successful language instruction. The rapid advancement of technology has transformed our daily lives and has open many new doors for instructional designs and curriculum materials that engage language students and improve learning. The synergy resulting from this sub-conference will result in new understandings of trends and strategies that provide directions for future research collaborations, and the resulting ongoing improvement of guidance for TELL practitioners.
