Introduction

ICPCES is a regular conference organized in alternate years which was started in 2010 with the title ICPCES 2010 (Nov. 28-Dec. 01, 2010), followed by ICPCES 2012 held from December 17-19, 2012. The International Conference on Power, Control and Embedded System (ICPCES-2014) is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of Power System, Power Electronics, Drives, Control System, Embedded System, Computational Intelligence and Communication. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. The objective of the conference is to bring together academicians, researchers, professionals, executives and practicing engineers, from various industries, research institutes and educational bodies to share and exchange ideas and information on the theme of the conference. This conference will provide a forum to discuss various issues and problems pertaining to power, control and embedded systems. Developing economies, aspiration for improved quality of life and rise in the rate of growth have led to the development of various infrastructure facilities in the society. Massive investments have been done in the recent years in the R & D sectors of the electrical power, industrial control and embedded systems that play a major role in sustainable growth of the society.
