Introduction

Theme of the Conference "Enhancing Engineering Employability by Empowering Technology” 'Employability' in this context is not just about student employment - it is far wider than that. It should be understood as: 'a set of achievements - skills, understandings and personal attributes – that make graduates more likely to gain employment and be successful in their chosen occupations, which benefits themselves, the workforce, the community and the economy' (Yorke, 2004: 7). “Engineering is the professional art of applying science to the optimum conversion of natural resources to the benefit of man” Engineering is not merely to know and being knowledgeable, like a walking encyclopedia; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change. The ideal engineer is a composite and to operate at the interface between science and society. The Growth of industrial and technological advancements has taken steps forward on development in various sectors across the globe. The evolution of the technology is to attain the objective "SMART" in the sectors like Building Infrastructures, Manufacturing, Energy Production and Management, Electronic devices, IT development and services and so on. The technology empowerment is to become a boom for the third world countries and global sustainability. The Engineer’s Employability Enhancement Theme for ICKCE2015 has been built on the considerable body of research, information and resources drawn up by the Department Higher Education-MHRD and the Enhancing Student Employability Skills. Engineers and Managers should have mastered an appropriate body of knowledge, developed a set of flexible skills, and become more aware of what they have to do to be a responsible citizen and an effective employee (or employer). Considering the global awareness on enhancing engineering employability and Engineers role in economic development and environmental responsibility, ICKCE2015 is dedicated to "Appropriate Technology Empowerment to Enhance the Employability for Engineers Include Growth and Sustainable Development" This international conference provides a forum for presenting and discussing about the new design ideas, alternative technologies, findings which results to the empowering technology for global engineering employment sustainability. ICKCE2015 addresses the technological advancements currently witnessed in the fields of Engineering, Science and Management.
