The INTRICATE-SEC workshop is aimed at security researchers with an interest in designing privacy as well as security solutions for service oriented architectures in technology constrained resource settings. Technology constrained resource settings are characterized by factors that include intermittent network connectivity, unstable power provisioning, and lack of on-the-ground or in-house technology expertise. Rural areas and developing world countries are a special case application scenario that contextualizes the problems of transposing mainstream security and/or privacy solutions to low technology resource environments.
