On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 28th annual IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE’2015) to be held at the World Trade and Convention Center, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Halifax is the largest maritime city in the Atlantic Canada Region and one of the world's most popular tourist cities. CCECE is the flagship conference for researchers, students, and professionals in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Canada and around the world to meet annually in a Canadian city to disseminate their research advancements and discoveries, to network and exchange ideas in order to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new collaborations. CCECE’2015 with the theme of ‘Electrical and Computer Engineering - Celebrating 30 Years of Ocean Frontiers’, reflects the fast growing interests in research, development and applications in the dynamic and exciting areas of Marine Engineering and Sciences. CCECE’2015 features ten mini-symposia covering diverse areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering, a number of tutorial sessions, plenary and keynote talks from renowned researchers and entrepreneurs in academia and industry, the IEEE Canada Awards and Banquet night, best paper awards luncheon, and a career fair. We expect close to 500 attendees. CCECE’2015 promises to be a great event for all participants, with excellent technical and social programs. Look forward to seeing you in Halifax in May 2015.
