Introduction

Greetings Aeronautics and Space Avionics Enthusiasts - On behalf of the AIAA Digital Avionics Technical Committee and the IEEE Aerospace Electronics Systems Society, we welcome you to the 34th Digital Avionics Systems Conference! Let me begin by thanking Mr. Benjamin Levy and his outstanding Conference Committee on the hugely successful 33rd DASC. The conference was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado from October 5-9, 2014. Many thanks to the Plenary Speakers, Authors, Presenters, Exhibitors, Sponsors and Attendees for providing the latest updates on technology and participating in the many networking opportunities. It was a great week in every regard. So let’s begin preparing for the 34th DASC. Please plan now to join us September 13-17, 2015 in the Golden City of Prague in the Czech Republic. We have selected the Corinthia, a beautiful five-star hotel to host us and we have many extra events planned to showcase Prague and the surrounding area along with many networking opportunities with an international Aerospace Community. Our theme this coming year is the “Impact of Global Mandates on Avionics Research and Development”. Our Call for Participation (CFP) is now available online as well as an attachment to this email. There are many relevant topics which build on the interplay between mandates and innovations to consider. Through your participation, you can help to influence the future directions of industry, government, and academia as we all work together to transform flight. I will be sending out monthly updates leading up to conference week containing important news about various aspects of our Conference. The next one will focus on paper submission. Watch for it next month!
