Introduction

Welcome to the official website of the 2016 4th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology(ICBCB 2016). The conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during February 2-3, 2016. The aim objective of ICBCB 2016 is to present the latest research and results of scientists (preferred students, PhD Students, and post-doc scientist) related to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology topics. This conference provides opportunities for the different areas delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. We hope that the conference results constituted significant contribution to the knowledge in these up to date scientific field. 

ICBCB 2016 is supposed to be the largest technical event on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in Kuala Lumpur in 2016. It is assisted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia; Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia; Multimedia University, Malaysia and University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia.The focus of the conference is to establish an effective platform for institutions and industries to share ideas and to present the works of scientists, engineers, educators and students from all over the world. The organizing committee of conference is pleased to invite prospective authors to submit their original manuscripts to ICBCB 2016.


PUBLICATION

All papers, both invited and contributed, will be reviewed by two or three experts from the PC. After a careful reviewing process, all registered and presented paper will be published in the journals below:

Submission Topics

ICBCB 2016 is now accepting manuscript submissions. Prospective authors are invited to submit their draft paper to Easy Chair before Dec. 5, 2015.

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

  1. Genome analysis: Genome assembly, genome and chromosome annotation, gene finding, alternative splicing, EST analysis and comparative genomics.
  2. Sequence analysis: Multiple sequence alignment, sequence search and clustering, function prediction, motif discovery, functional site recognition in protein, RNA and DNA sequences.
  3. Phylogenetics: Phylogeny estimation, models of evolution, comparative biological methods, population genetics.
  4. Structural Bioinformatics: Structure matching, prediction, analysis and comparison; methods and tools for docking; protein design
  5. Analysis of high-throughput biological data: Microarrays (nucleic acid, protein, array CGH, genome tiling, and other arrays), EST, SAGE, MPSS, proteomics, mass spectrometry.
  6. Genetics and population analysis: Linkage analysis, association analysis, population simulation, haplotyping, marker discovery, genotype calling.
  7. Systems biology: Systems approaches to molecular biology, multiscale modeling, pathways,gene networks.
