2015 IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR)

Welcome to Purdue! The 13th anniversary of the IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics will be held at Purdue University in the heart of the American Midwest. Purdue is situated in West Lafayette about 65 miles northwest of Indiana's capital city, Indianapolis, and about 103 miles southeast of Chicago. Purdue is a major research university known for discoveries in science, technology, engineering, and more as well as being the alma mater of 23 astronauts who have traveled to space including the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong. The surrounding area of West Lafayette boasts beautiful lakes, rivers, trails, and wetlands for enjoying nature and in nearby Indianapolis is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway which hosts the world famous Indy 500 each year.
